Inspired at the 2nd Annual Space Economy Summit 2024 in Lisbon

Last week, we had the privilege of attending the 2nd annual Space Economy Summit in Lisbon, an event that truly captured the transformative power of the space industry. The majority of the talks and panels offered insightful discussions on how the space sector is changing—and will continue to change—the world

The themes explored were not only technological but deeply societal, emphasizing the role of space as a facilitator of social change. From discussions on lunar exploration to advanced satellite technologies, the impact of space innovation was clear.

A little personal highlight? Trying a VR experience of landing on the moon

It was also a fantastic opportunity to meet a lot of interesting people, making connections that extend beyond just business and into collaborative potential for future projects.

We left Lisbon feeling motivated and eager to contribute more significantly to this dynamic field. Looking forward to next year's summit!

This week, we had the privilege of participating in the 15th edition of Aeromart Toulouse, one of Europe's most significant aerospace events. Together with Ray Service, a.s., MESIT, DI industrial spol. s r. o., MGM COMPRO, Laser Centrum CZ, s.r.o., and CzechTrade, we proudly showcased the strength and innovation of Czech aerospace expertise.

Reflecting on a Productive EACP General Assembly

This past week, the CZECH AEROSPACE Cluster was delighted to participate in the European Aerospace Cluster Partnership (EACP) General Assembly in Aix-en-Provence, hosted by Pôle SAFE. The assembly was not only a chance to engage with our European counterparts but also a valuable opportunity for us to share insights and discuss future collaborations.

The event was filled with enlightening discussions on strengthening Europe’s position in the global aerospace market. We were especially inspired by the focus on innovative projects like ECARE Project and METASTARS, and the introduction of the new Working Group on Synergies. These initiatives align perfectly with our commitment to supporting innovation and resilience among SMEs in the aerospace sector.

A big thank you to Niklas Schilling and the organizing team at Hamburg Aviation for their excellent coordination. Your efforts made this assembly a memorable and smooth experience for all attendees.

As we look forward to next year’s General Assembly in Zaragoza, we are excited about the future and the collaborative potential it holds. Congratulations to Inés Villa Martínez and AERA - Clúster de Aeronáutica, Aeroespacial y Defensa de Aragón on being chosen as the next hosts!

Recently attended the Space Tech Expo Europe

It was a amazing event, notably friendlier than some others, which made for a pleasant experience. This friendliness was not only due to the expo itself but also thanks to all the great people at the booths. Innovating and developing among such enthusiastic individuals is truly a joy.

We realized one day wasn’t quite enough to take everything in, so we’re planning to stay longer next year. Made some interesting contacts and looking forward to exploring these new opportunities.

Canadian-Czech Collaboration Continues to Thrive!

Last Wednesday, we had the pleasure of attending a workshop at the Canadian Embassy with distinguished speakers Hendrik Taulin and Martina Taxova. This event marked another milestone in our 8-year-long tradition of collaborating with Canada, fostering connections between Czech companies, clusters, and their Canadian counterparts.

Highlights of the event:

• Discussing market entry strategies for Canada
• Exploring how to engage with Canadian partners and start joint initiatives
• Understanding the support available from the Canadian Embassy

The workshop sparked lively discussions and a strong interest from participating companies. It's inspiring to see such enthusiasm for partnerships, research, development, and joint projects.

In 2018, we organized an incoming mission to Canada, and we’re excited to announce plans for a follow-up mission next year! Activities like these are at the heart of our mission to support Czech companies in tapping into the immense potential of the Canadian market.

Three weeks have flown by since the Japan Aerospace Exhibition✈

It’s been a packed season for us, so it’s only now that we’ve had a chance to pause and appreciate all the connections we made. Meeting people from all over the world who share a passion for aerospace, exchanging ideas, and showing what Czech aerospace has to offer was genuinely rewarding.

A big thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth. Your interest and support made the event truly memorable. We're also immensely grateful for the support from the Jakub Hajek - CzechInvest, Richard Schneider - CzechTrade and Ondřej Svoboda -  Embassy of the Czech Republic in Japan, which was instrumental in making our participation a success.

Trip with Our Korean Guests Across Moravia

This past week, we welcomed representatives from Hanwha Aerospace
to the Czech Republic and took them on a road trip across various aerospace companies. Despite our jam-packed itinerary leading to a few inevitable delays, we managed everything smoothly. In the Czech Republic, there’s just so much to show, and it wouldn't have been fair to skip the essentials, but thankfully, the stunning Czech landscapes made up for any time spent on the road.

Our guests tackled every move and the demanding pace with grace. We visited PBS Velká Bíteš, UNIS, a.s., Inpraise Systems, MESIT, SAZ Aerospace, Alucast, s.r.o., CZ-AUTO SYSTEMS a.s. , MGM COMPRO, LICRIT, ONE3D and SEKO Aerospace, a.s.

The feedback was extremely positive, with Hanwha Aerospace pleasantly surprised by the innovative capabilities displayed by Czech companies.

To conclude our whirlwind tour, we enjoyed a charming nighttime stroll through Olomouc, putting a perfect end to our roadshow.

It’s always an honor to organize such missions, and seeing our guests depart thrilled and satisfied brings us immense joy. We’re confident the discussions sparked during this trip will lead to fruitful collaborations.
