The Czech Republic belongs to the elite group of nine countries that have an entire supply chain located within the state and are thus able to produce an aircraft completely "in-house". Manufacturers specialize in the production of smaller aircraft with high quality and reliability. Aircraft production has a long tradition in the Czech Republic as the first aircraft was manufactured in the territory of then Czechoslovakia in 1918. Since then, of course, development and production have come a long way and are now more advanced than ever and therefore today we can witness the production of these aircraft with the latest technologies.
The L-410 is one of the best-known and most famous aircraft manufactured in the Czech Republic. The manufacturer of this aircraft is Aircraft Industries company (formerly Let Kunovice). Since 1971, when the production of this aircraft was launched, more than 1200 pieces have been produced, most of which continue to be active worldwide.
Since 2018, a new version of this aircraft is being produced, bearing the designation L-410 NG (as a new generation). Depending on the modification, the aircraft is capable of taking up to 19 passengers or 2,3 tons of cargo. The innovated version offers improved flight parameters and flight characteristics, modern technology, and innovated avionics.
EV-55 is a small civil aircraft designed for up to nine passengers manufactured by the Evektor company located in Kunovice. There is also a variant for passengers, but it is only available in countries where local air traffic regulations allow it. Two PT6A-21 turboprop engines together with a robust aluminum alloy fuselage ensure an impressive level of reliability and safety. Thanks to the metal construction, repairs of the airframe are an easy and quick affair. All key aircraft components are easily accessible thanks to the large mounting holes.
The aircraft can be manufactured in various versions to meet the customer's requirements. Whether it is a classic passenger version or a cargo version, you can also order a combined version or for example a version with floats.
The Cobra is another aircraft manufactured by the Evektor company. This time, however, it is a small four-seated aircraft equipped with one turboprop engine (in two different versions) and retractable landing gear. The fuselage of the aircraft is made of traditional material - duralumin. The airframe was designed using 3D design systems and optimized by advanced finite element calculation methods.
The VUT100 Cobra aircraft is the best choice for travel, leisure time filled with the joy of flying, but also for pilot training.
EuroStar, SportStar, and Harmony are modern two-seater aircraft designed for pilot training and comfortable travel.
SportStar RTC is an aircraft for everyday operation, has easy maintenance, low operating costs, and at the same time excellent flight characteristics. In operation, you'll especially appreciate the reliable and economical Rotax 912 engine with low fuel consumption.
EuroStar SL is a modern ultralight aircraft with a modern sporty look, spacious and comfortable cockpit, and excellent flight characteristics. Already more than 1000 EuroStars operated in 50 countries around the world make this type one of the most successful ultralight aircraft on the world market.
Another aircraft from one of our members is the M-8 Eagle, manufactured by the Orličan company. The history of this company dates back to the year 1935 and since 2014 it has been operating as a new reborn company under the name Orličan s.r.o.
The M-8 Eagle is a relatively new aircraft that belongs to the ultralight category. The power is provided by a Rotax 912 80hp 4-cylinder liquid/air cooled engine with integrated reduction gear. It's equipped with the latest technology, including a touch glass cockpit and other modern gadgets. Its solid composite construction ensures a reliable and very manoeuvrable aircraft.
We also must not forget that Orličan is also developing the Cargo Drone, which is based on the M-8 Eagle model.
